We have revamped our group mapping sync capabilities to ensure that SSO group mappings are triggered every time a user authenticates in Atlan. This will enable groups in the SSO provider to sync consistently with the mapped groups in Atlan.

For example, if a user in Atlan is added to a new group or removed from an existing one in the SSO provider, the updates will also be reflected in Atlan. To ensure that changes are synced to Atlan:

• The groups that a user belongs to in the SSO provider should be mapped to Atlan.
• If a group name changes in the SSO provider, you will need to update the group name in Atlan as well.
• A user may need to log out and then log into Atlan again to view the changes.

With enhanced group mapping sync, users will always have the right access to the right data!
