Introducing domain lineage for your data domains in Atlan! For a comprehensive overview of business lineage, you can now view and better understand relationships between your domains and subdomains through data products on a lineage graph.

Building on the success of exporting assets to spreadsheets, Atlan now also supports exporting and enriching alias and custom metadata attributes directly in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Introducing announcement notifications on Slack and Teams! Your ability to share any announcement — information, issue, or warning — now goes beyond Atlan to informing your users directly on Slack or Teams. Easily broadcast your asset announcements on your favorite chat platforms and keep everyone seamlessly in the loop.

Atlan now enables you to check your “other” matched search results easily! If you're filtering and searching for a particular asset type and nothing comes up, you'll be able to view other asset types that match your search keywords. You can simply click the Check other matches button and check all other search matches.
Atlan will ask you if you'd like to explore other asset types that match, so you can continue your search seamlessly. This will positively impact your discovery experience on the asset search page only. Note that this capability is not supported for command menu search.

Announcing not one, not two, but three new enhancements to your experience of data products in Atlan — add stakeholders to your domains and subdomains, update metadata for domains and products in bulk using playbooks, and custom metadata support for domains and products.
Announcing a new set of responsibilities specially appointed for domains — stakeholders! You can now add your Atlan users as stakeholders to a domain or subdomain and assign titles to them such as Domain Owner, Architect, and more. This will help your data consumers identify the right stakeholders involved in the management of a particular domain. Note that stakeholders do not help with enforcing access control currently.
Here's what’s new for you:
Announcing playbook capabilities for your domains, subdomains, and data products! Run playbooks to update domain and product metadata in bulk. Note that Atlan currently does not support adding certificates, tags, and terms to domains and subdomains. The playbooks will update metadata for the domains and products and not for the underlying assets.
Atlan now supports enriching your data domains and products with custom metadata. Add more context for your data consumers with custom metadata. Note that this does not impact the custom metadata attached to underlying assets in the data products. You can:

Excel enthusiasts, from the same team that brought to you enriching metadata for exported assets in Google Sheets and syncing changes to Atlan, support for Microsoft Excel has arrived! You can now bulk update metadata directly in Microsoft Excel for your exported assets and sync updates to Atlan. Any non-guest user with edit access to an asset's metadata can collaborate, update, and sync changes from their Excel workbooks.
Export a list of assets from Atlan to Excel, collaborate with your team, make bulk updates, and sync all changes back to Atlan — yes, it's that easy!

Announcing improved truncation in the display of linked terms, tags, and owners attached to your assets. The metadata display will be truncated to only show the top few terms, tags, or owners while the rest will be collapsed. Expand the Show more menu to view all metadata for your assets.

While exploring asset lineage in Atlan, you may notice something new — say hello to the new Show all button! Click the Show all button to view the full list of dependencies, including assets and processes, for a specific lineage level. Get the full picture of your data flows!
If there are more than 100 assets, a popup will appear asking you to scroll to the bottom of the list and click Show all again to view all remaining dependencies.
