We're excited to announce that Atlan now supports dbt tests as assets for discovery and documentation. This new feature will allow dbt test users to view relevant metadata in Atlan, adding valuable context to their data quality processes.

dbt tests are used to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data and help identify and fix errors that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. For example, you can use dbt tests to verify whether your data conforms to a specific schema or meets certain quality standards.

With this release, you'll be able to:

• View dbt test results directly in Atlan.
• Discover metadata about your dbt test assets, including name, description, and status.

Note: For dbt Core users, you will need to upload the run_results.json file to crawl dbt tests. We recommend uploading it to the same folder as the manifest.json file.
