Default SSO role setup
Controlling permissions and user roles is part of any Admin experience, but sometimes changing these permissions can be a time-consuming, manual process. Previously, in Atlan, the default role was “guest” for users that joined Atlan via SSO. This meant that all users had the same permissions, and if a user needed different permissions, an Admin would need to change that manually.
With this release, Admins can now set up default roles for new users joining the Atlan workspace via SSO. With expanded role options for either Admin, Member, or Guest, Admins can now give the appropriate permissions to users as soon as they log into Atlan — no manual intervention is needed.
